COAT: Choose Your Style – US 4-Button Sack Coat, US Untrimmed Shell Jacket, Artillery Shell Jacket, or Cavalry Shell Jacket

It features a comfortable roll (fold-over) collar, a lined interior with muslin lining, a practical inside pocket, and a four-button front secured with medium 3/4 inch Federal Eagle buttons.
For a more formal look, consider the Shell Jacket. The design includes straight sleeves with non-functional cuffs and a distinguished standing collar. Customize your Shell Jacket by selecting untrimmed, artillery red trim, or cavalry yellow trim options to represent different branches of service.

FOOT TROUSERS or MOUNTED TROUSERS: Sky Blue or Navy Blue Options
Union regulations specified Sky Blue for enlisted trousers, but Navy Blue provides an alternative choice.
Union Civil War Foot Trousers in Sky Blue
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Our Union Trousers are meticulously crafted from wool with durable cotton facings and pockets. For cavalry and mounted units, the MOUNTED trouser option includes a reinforced seat and leg for added durability. The button fly is thoughtfully lined with cotton for easier buttoning and enhanced flexibility. The adjustable “V” back waistband incorporates eyelet holes for a tie, allowing for personalized waist adjustment. Practical features include a watch pocket and convenient side seam pockets. Authentic pewter fly buttons and suspender buttons complete the design.
It’s important to remember that Civil War era trousers were worn higher on the waist than modern jeans. Considering contemporary sizing and preferences, we recommend ordering ONE size larger than your usual jean size. For a particularly loose and comfortable fit, consider ordering TWO sizes larger.
Inseam measurements are not required as the trousers are shipped unhemmed. This allows for customization – they can be rolled up, cut to length, or professionally hemmed to your exact specifications.
