TCU Football has just dropped its fresh look for the upcoming season, revealing a brand-new set of uniforms and helmets on Monday morning. While the Horned Frogs have been known for incorporating unique design elements and alternate uniforms in recent years, this announcement marks the first comprehensive uniform overhaul since 2019.

The unveiling was teased by TCU Athletics on Sunday night with an exciting hype video, sparking rumors of potential retro designs or nods to Fort Worth’s “Funkytown” heritage. The video, featuring iconic moments from Horned Frog history and referencing the 817 area code, fueled speculation about the inclusion of the retro Flying T logos, which the university re-licensed in 2022.

Reflecting a trend seen in recent Nike uniform rebrands, including Baylor’s reveal last month, TCU’s new Tcu Uniforms adopt a minimalist aesthetic. The design emphasizes solid color pants and jerseys, minimizing unique design elements. A TCU logo is subtly placed on the front collar, and a “Carter Boys” patch adorns the back collar, showcasing a clean and classic look.

The announcement also highlighted a striking new range of chrome helmets for the tcu uniforms. These include a purple frogskin pattern helmet featuring the silver horned frog logo with white arched TCU lettering, and a mirror silver chrome helmet displaying the purple arched TCU lettering logo. The chrome helmets add a modern and bold element to the otherwise classic uniform design.
