Superior Uniform Group Expands with New Distribution Center in Oak Grove, Louisiana

The Superior Uniform Group, a leading provider of superior uniforms and branded apparel, has announced plans to establish a new distribution center in Oak Grove, Louisiana. The announcement, made by Mayor Adam Holland and the Oak Grove Town Council, marks a significant economic development for the region, promising new job opportunities and revitalizing the local industrial complex.

The distribution center will be located in the Oak Grove Industrial Complex, formerly known as Wells Lamont. This facility will play a crucial role in streamlining the distribution of Superior Uniform Group’s extensive product line, which includes work uniforms, corporate apparel, and various specialized uniform programs. The company has been a part of the Delta Region for a considerable time, operating the Eudora Garment Factory in Eudora, Arkansas, demonstrating their ongoing investment in the area’s workforce and economy.

Mayor Holland expressed his enthusiasm about the project, stating, “This opportunity is truly exciting for the people of Oak Grove. We have been dedicated to making this happen for over two years, and today, that hard work is paying off for our citizens.” He highlighted the perseverance and dedication involved in securing this agreement, emphasizing the positive impact it will have on the community.

Robin Dunnahoe, Director of Central Distribution for Superior Uniform, acknowledged the collaborative effort, saying, “Mayor Holland’s relentless commitment to the people of Oak Grove over the past two years has been instrumental. We are thrilled to bring this excellent facility back to life.” The selection of Oak Grove for this distribution center underscores the strategic advantages of the location and the compelling proposal presented by the town.

The project is set to generate immediate employment, with an initial creation of five jobs. Furthermore, projections indicate a substantial increase in employment figures, with an estimated 15 to 25 new positions expected to be added over the next two years. This influx of jobs will provide a significant boost to the local economy and offer valuable opportunities for the residents of Oak Grove and the surrounding areas.

The agreement signed is the preliminary step in a two-month process leading to the official lease of the industrial complex, in accordance with Louisiana state regulations. The finalized lease agreement will be accessible for public review at City Hall, ensuring transparency and community involvement in this significant development.
