Air National Guard Honors Leader with Chief Master Sergeant Promotion

BIDDLE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Pa. – The 111th Attack Wing proudly elevated a senior enlisted leader from the 103rd Attack Squadron to the esteemed rank of chief master sergeant, the highest enlisted rank within the Air National Guard. The promotion ceremony for Chief Master Sgt. Christopher took place at the Wing headquarters on April 2, 2022, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished career.

Lt. Col. Pete, Commander of the 103rd Attack Squadron, officiated the ceremony and personally promoted Chief Master Sgt. Christopher. Pete lauded the chief master sergeant’s achievements, stating, “This promotion to chief master sergeant is a well-deserved recognition of Chief Christopher’s exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment. It reflects his dedication to technical and tactical excellence, and most importantly, his profound care for his personnel.”

Chief Master Sgt. Christopher’s journey to this pinnacle of enlisted service spans over 24 years in the Air Force. His career includes 10 years of active duty, seven years with the Air Force Reserve, and an additional seven years with the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. This extensive and diverse experience underscores his deep commitment to the Air Force values and mission.

During the ceremony, Chief Master Sgt. Christopher expressed his heartfelt gratitude to those who supported him throughout his career. “Standing here today, I am filled with immense gratitude for the incredible support I’ve received from everyone in the 111th Attack Wing and the 111th Operations Group,” he acknowledged. “It is truly an honor to serve alongside the exceptional men and women of this Wing. My deepest appreciation goes to my wife and family, whose unwavering love and support have been the bedrock of my military journey. This achievement would not have been possible without them.”

For nearly eight years, Chief Master Sgt. Christopher has been an integral part of the 103rd Attack Squadron, serving as its superintendent since June 2020. He holds a deep respect for his commander, Lt. Col. Pete, who presided over his promotion. “Lt. Col. Pete is an extraordinary leader, truly one of a kind,” Chief Master Sgt. Christopher remarked. “His leadership inspires and empowers those around him to achieve their best. Having served alongside him in combat during both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, I have the utmost trust and admiration for his leadership.”
