British Airways has officially launched its highly anticipated new uniform, set to be worn by cabin crew, pilots, and airport staff worldwide. Designed by renowned British-Ghanaian fashion designer Ozwald Boateng, in collaboration with over 1,500 British Airways colleagues, the new British Airways Cabin Crew Uniform marks a significant step forward for the airline, blending contemporary style with practical functionality and a strong commitment to sustainability.
The unveiling of the British Airways cabin crew uniform follows an initial preview in January, with ground operational staff already transitioning to the new attire in May. Ozwald Boateng OBE, celebrated for his distinctive tailoring and modern approach to menswear, led the design process, ensuring the collection not only embodies elegance but also caters to the diverse needs of the airline’s global workforce. The design journey was deeply collaborative, involving extensive workshops, prototype testing, and feedback sessions with British Airways staff to create a uniform truly reflective of the airline’s identity and the needs of its employees.
This comprehensive collection features an impressive 96 individual garments, offering British Airways personnel the largest selection in the airline’s history. For female cabin crew and airport staff, the wardrobe presents a versatile array of options, including dresses, skirts, trouser suits, and, breaking new ground for the airline, a chic jumpsuit. Male cabin crew and airport teams are provided with a sophisticated three-piece tailored suit, available in both slim and regular fits, ensuring both style and comfort.
