Nashville SC Unveils New “615” Uniforms Celebrating Tennessee Communities

Nashville Soccer Club has launched its highly anticipated “615” jersey, the team’s primary kit for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. The unveiling took place at a special event held at GEODIS Park, marking the third primary jersey in the club’s history. This new uniform is a vibrant tribute to the individuality of Nashville SC fans and the diverse communities across Middle Tennessee that the Boys in Gold call home. A key feature of these New Tennessee Uniforms is the inclusion of 35 unique neighborhood and regional patches, designed in collaboration with local Nashville artist Cymone Wilder.

The “615” jersey incorporates several distinctive design elements. The back collar proudly displays the “615” area code, a strong symbol of Nashville identity. A “Nashville” wordmark “jock tag” is positioned on the bottom left front of the jersey, further emphasizing local pride. Breaking away from the previous solid Electric Gold primary jersey, this iteration features a striking solid Acoustic Blue stripe across the chest. Acoustic Blue accents are also present on the sleeve cuffs and piping, adding a dynamic contrast. Completing the kit, players will predominantly wear new Acoustic Blue shorts with the “615” jersey for the majority of matches this season.

“Every season we aim to discover a unique way to celebrate our club, our city, and our dedicated fans. What better approach than to acknowledge the neighborhoods where everyone lives and works?” stated Ian Ayre, Nashville Soccer Club CEO. “Our club’s existence is deeply rooted in the unwavering support of the fans and partners who collectively form our community.” This sentiment underscores the core message behind these new tennessee uniforms – a celebration of local identity.

The 35 patches, each representing different neighborhoods and areas within Middle Tennessee – the homes of 84 percent of Nashville SC’s season ticket holders – are available for fans to purchase. These patches will also be worn by Nashville SC players on the field during their opening day game on Sunday, February 25th, at GEODIS Park. Jerseys worn during this special ‘615 Match’ will be auctioned later in the year, with proceeds benefiting the Nashville SC Community Fund.

Cymone Wilder shared her enthusiasm for the project: “This endeavor perfectly blends my passions: lettering, this vibrant city, and Nashville SC. I must admit, I was initially unsure about the Nashville SC fan experience. However, attending my first game completely changed my perspective. Nashville SC games offer the most electrifying and engaging fan experience in the city. The games are thrilling, the fanbase is diverse, and the atmosphere is electric from beginning to end. Therefore, when approached for this project, I was incredibly excited to contribute my skills. It was a delightful challenge to translate the unique vibes of each community into distinctive wordmarks. I incorporated subtle visual cues and my signature letterforms to create a collection that represents the diverse pockets of this city.” Her designs truly capture the spirit of these new tennessee uniforms, embedding local artistry within the team’s identity.

Nashville SC has consistently engaged with communities throughout Music City and the broader Middle Tennessee region through various initiatives. These include the Books Brothers Literacy Program, Grassroots Soccer, Impact Soccer, Kickstart to Reading, the Latino Essay Awards, Metro Social Services Toy Drive, M.N.P.S. P.L.A.Y.S., the Road to Opening Match Tree Planting project, and the creation of multiple mini-pitches to encourage youth participation in soccer.
