Cintas Enhances Service Portfolio with Acquisition of Rental Uniform Service

Cintas Corporation has recently announced the acquisition of Rental Uniform Service, a family-operated business based in North Carolina. This strategic move is set to bolster Cintas’ capabilities in delivering comprehensive rental uniform services across a wider geographical area. Rental Uniform Service, known for its strong regional presence and customer-centric approach, brings decades of experience and a solid service record to Cintas’ already robust portfolio.

Founded in 1949, Rental Uniform Service has established itself as a key player in the uniform and facility services rental sector, operating across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The company’s commitment to quality and service has been a hallmark of its operations since its inception by James Waggoner and continued under the leadership of his grandson, CEO Danny Lawrence, along with James’ daughters. This acquisition signals Cintas’ ongoing commitment to expanding its reach and enhancing its service offerings in the competitive landscape of rental uniform solutions.

Scott Garula, President and COO of Cintas’ Rental Division, highlighted the strategic fit of Rental Uniform Service within Cintas’ operational framework. He emphasized the shared values between the two entities, particularly concerning customer service and employee relations. “The Waggoner and Lawrence family has built an impressive operation renowned for its dedication to customer satisfaction. Their approach aligns seamlessly with Cintas’ commitment to providing top-tier rental uniform services and fostering strong relationships with both customers and employee-partners,” Garula stated. This integration is expected to be smooth, ensuring continued high-quality service for existing Rental Uniform Service clients and a positive transition for their staff.

Danny Lawrence, CEO of Rental Uniform Service, expressed confidence in Cintas’ ability to uphold the service standards and values that his family has instilled in the company over generations. “Our decision to join forces with Cintas was driven by our deep respect for their business model and their dedication to both customers and employees. We believe that Cintas offers the ideal platform to continue delivering exceptional rental uniform service while providing new opportunities for our team,” Lawrence remarked. This perspective underscores the mutual respect and strategic alignment that facilitated this acquisition.
