Ensuring a focused and respectful learning environment, Northwest Academy High School requires all students to wear uniforms daily throughout the 2024-2025 academic year. Uniforms are to be worn every school day, for field trips, assemblies, and all after-school activities, unless communicated otherwise for special events by the school administration.
Students not in compliance with the uniform policy will be asked to change, and if available, may wear clean, donated uniforms. Parents will be contacted regarding uniform infractions, and students may face school consequences such as detention or demerits.
Uniform Requirements
All students are required to wear the following uniform items:
1. Polo-style Shirt with or without NAHS Logo:

6th Grade: Red or Gray

7th Grade: Light Blue or Black

8th Grade: Burgundy or Gold
Polos can be either embroidered with the NAHS logo or plain, in the designated grade color.
2. Khaki Bottoms:
- Khaki pants or knee-length skirts/skorts are required.
- Bottoms must be khaki fabric in tan or navy.
- Fabrics like yoga pants, sweatpants, jeans, or leggings are not permitted.
- Bottoms should be worn securely at the waist, with a belt if needed.
3. Cold Weather Outerwear:
- Students may wear solid-colored cardigans, crewneck sweatshirts, or sweaters during colder months.
- Outerwear must be in corresponding class colors or official NAHS Expansion wear.
Physical Education (PE) Uniforms
For PE classes, students should wear a solid gray t-shirt and black shorts (knee-length). Alternatively, the official NAHS PE uniform can be purchased from Kre8ting Your Ideas (link provided below).

Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited as part of the school uniform:
- Hooded Attire: Includes sweatshirts, henleys, jackets, windbreakers, and t-shirts with hoods. Hooded attire is not allowed for any reason.
- Coats: Coats are to be stored in lockers during the school day.
- Collarless Shirts: Shirts must have a collar to be considered uniform compliant.
- Headwear: Hats, bandanas, du-rags, bonnets, skullcaps, velcro headwraps, and any other headwear are not permitted. The only exception is headwear worn for religious purposes.
- Blankets: Blankets are not allowed at school.
- Shorts and Skirts: Shorts and skirts must be knee-length or longer (at or below fingertips).
- Sweatpants: All pants must be khaki color and material; sweatpants, joggers, and leggings are not allowed (except for PE uniforms).
Footwear Restrictions
For student safety, the following types of shoes are not permitted:
- Heelys (shoes with wheels)
- Flip Flops
- Shower Shoes
- Athletic Slippers/Slides
- House Slippers
- Open-Toed Shoes
- Crocs
Book Bags
All book bags must be stored in student lockers during the school day.
Uniform compliance is expected starting August 26th. Please order your uniforms early to ensure you are prepared for the start of the school year.
