- Drill Sergeants at One Station Unit Training (OSUT) and Basic Combat Training (BCT) started receiving the AGSU in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2020.
- Initial Entry Trainees at BCT and OSUT installations began receiving their army green uniforms in the first quarter of fiscal year 2021, starting at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and expanding to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, Fort Benning, Georgia, and Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
- Army Recruiters also started receiving the uniform in the first quarter of fiscal year 2021.
- By the second quarter of fiscal year 2021, the uniform became available for purchase at all Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) locations.
- Reserve component Soldiers are scheduled to receive their AGSUs starting in the third quarter of fiscal year 2021 through a replacement program.
