Let’s dive straight into the details of this game-changing update!
Title Update Notes
GAMEPLAY
General
- Refreshed Player Ability Loadouts: We’ve updated the ability loadouts for players featured in the Front End Rosters.
- Developer Note: These ability adjustments are based on player performances this season and corresponding rating changes. Our primary focus was on players from the Top 25 teams within the game. This means standout players like Ashton Jeanty will see well-deserved ability upgrades. Be sure to check out your favorite players to see the impact of these changes!
- Reduced Pitch Out Frequency: We’ve fine-tuned the gameplay to decrease the occurrence of pitches out of tackles that result in missed pitch backs, providing a more polished and realistic feel.
- Aftershock Ability Fix: Addressed an issue where the Aftershock ability was incorrectly triggering on blocks, ensuring it now functions as intended.
Alignment
- Cover 3 Shell Logic: Corrected an alignment issue where utilizing a Cover 3 Shell on a Cover 1 Blitz play against Empty Base Flex or Trio formations would mistakenly leave the Tight End unguarded.
- Two High Coverage Shell Logic: Resolved an issue in Nickel Over Double Bracket formations where employing a Two High Coverage Shell (Cover 2, Cover 4, etc.) would incorrectly cause the defense to align in a single high safety look.
- Cover 2 Coverage Shell Logic: Fixed a bug where using a Cover 2 Coverage Shell on a Cover 1 play would inadvertently leave the Tight End without coverage.
- Cover 0 Coverage Shell Logic: Rectified an alignment problem with Cover 0 Coverage Shell on Cover 2 Man against Empty Base, Empty Chip, or Empty Quads, which was causing the inside receiver to be left unguarded.
Coverage
- Enhanced Bunch Formation Coverage with Box Call Logic: Implemented Box Call logic for Cover 4 Quarters and Cover 4 Palms to improve coverage against Bunch Formation route combinations.
- Developer Note: Box Call logic intelligently determines receiver assignments for defenders, particularly effective against Bunch formations. This ensures defenders are optimally positioned to cover their assigned receivers. Deep Zone, Quarter Flat, and 3 Rec Hook defenders will now coordinate effectively to cover all eligible receivers.
- Corrected Safety Hot Route Assignment: Fixed an issue where assigning the Outside Third L Defensive Hot Route to a Safety on the left side of the field would incorrectly assign him to the outside third on the opposite side.
- Press Animation Refinement: Addressed an issue with certain press animations that were incorrectly pressing receivers 10 yards downfield, ensuring more accurate press coverage.
Pass Blocking
- Defensive Linemen Slant Command Logic: Addressed an issue where using the Defensive Linemen Slant Inside Command would cause defenders to rush into the same gap, improving defensive line play diversity.
- Defensive Linemen Shifts Logic: Modified the functionality of Defensive Linemen Shifts on Double A Gap defensive formations to prevent unrealistic alignments, enhancing visual realism and strategic play.
- Pass Block Targeting Lines Visibility: Fixed a bug where Pass Block targeting lines were not appearing when users made Pass Block adjustments, restoring crucial visual feedback.
- Slant Inside Adjustment Logic: Implemented new logic to prevent Defenders from instantly disengaging to the outside when given the Slant Inside D-Line Adjustment pre-snap, enhancing the strategic depth of defensive line play.
