What Does the Girl Scout Uniform Scholarship Include?
The Girl Scout uniform scholarship is designed to provide a complete uniform bundle for your Girl Scout. This scholarship covers:
- Girl Scout Vest, Sash, or Tunic: Your girl can choose the official garment she prefers, appropriate for her grade level.
- Essential Insignia: The bundle also includes all the required patches and pins to get her uniform started:
- American Flag Patch
- Girl Scout Council Identification Set
- Troop Numerals
- Insignia Tab
- World Trefoil Pin
- Membership Pin

Who Can Apply for a Girl Scout Uniform Scholarship?
Girl Scout uniform scholarships are available to families who need financial assistance. Eligibility is based on the information provided in the scholarship application. Please note the following eligibility guidelines:
- Families must not have outstanding debts to the Girl Scout council to be eligible for financial aid.
- Girl Scouts are encouraged to participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program and Fall Product Program. These programs allow girls to earn credits that can be used towards Girl Scout expenses, including uniforms. We ask that families utilize these earned credits first before applying for a uniform scholarship.
We want to partner with families to make Girl Scouts accessible to all girls. If your Girl Scout needs assistance with her uniform, we encourage you to apply for a scholarship.
How to Receive Your Girl Scout Uniform Bundle
Applying for a Girl Scout uniform scholarship is easy. Simply complete the online application form once per Girl Scout membership year. You will receive notification regarding the status of your scholarship application, whether it is approved or denied.
If your scholarship is approved, you can pick up your Girl Scout’s uniform bundle at your preferred location from the dropdown list in the application form. Our GSGI shop staff will reach out to approved families to arrange a convenient pickup time at one of our Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa Shops. Shipping options can also be discussed if necessary.
For your convenience, you can designate another individual to pick up the uniform on your behalf. Simply forward them your email confirmation and a statement authorizing them to pick up the uniform for your Girl Scout.
