Miami Marlins Unveil Fresh Uniform Lineup for the 2024 Season

As the 2024 MLB season approaches, Miami Marlins fans are eager to see their team take the field. Adding to the excitement, Fish On First is bringing you the definitive guide to the Miami Marlins’ five uniform combinations for the upcoming season. Nike’s MLB uniform guidelines allow each team four core uniforms plus a City Connect set, and the Marlins are making the most of it. This year, fans can look forward to seeing the standard Home Whites and Road Greys, a revamped Alternate Black jersey, and an exciting all-new Alternate Blue uniform. Let’s dive into the details of each design.

The classic Home White uniform remains a staple for Marlins home games. These white tops feature “Miami” scripted across the chest in black, elegantly trimmed with blue and red. The tri-color trim detailing is also present on the sleeves, and the jerseys are paired with white pants featuring the same trim. Notably, the ADT advertising patch is strategically placed on the sleeve – on the throwing arm for pitchers and the opposite arm for position players – ensuring logo visibility to the center field camera during every pitch. In the 2023 season, the Marlins sported their Home Whites to a 31-20 record, boasting a +13 run differential. Expect to see the Home Whites in action for most home games, unless another uniform is specifically designated.

For games on the road, the Marlins will don their Road Grey uniforms. Mirroring the Home Whites in design, these grey tops also feature the “Miami” script in black with blue and red trim. The tri-color trim continues on the sleeves, and they are paired with grey pants, again with the signature trim. In 2023, the Road Greys saw the Marlins to a 27-31 record with a -37 run differential. These uniforms are set to be the standard for away games, when not superseded by an alternate choice.

The vibrant City Connect uniforms are back for Saturday home games. These eye-catching jerseys feature a red pinstriped design, with “Miami” scripted in white, outlined in blue across the front. Adding a nod to Miami’s rich baseball history, “Sugar Kings” is scripted in blue, trimmed in white above the manufacturer’s patch. The City Connect cap is blue with a red bill and proudly displays the Sugar Kings logo – “MM” in white within a blue crown trimmed in red. The sleeve patch echoes this with a white base, blue trim, and the Sugar Kings logo above “MIAMI MARLINS” in red and blue. Completing the look are white pants with blue side trim and blue socks with a black and blue stripe and the logo. In 2023, the Marlins achieved a 7-5 record and a +12 run differential in their City Connect uniforms.

A significant update for 2024 is the NEW Alternate Black uniform. Addressing previous readability concerns, these black tops now feature “Marlins” boldly scripted in white, trimmed with blue and red. The tops include bi-color blue and red trims and can be paired with either grey (road) or white (home) pants, both featuring the tri-color black, blue, and red trim. The previous iteration suffered from black lettering on a black jersey, proving difficult to read. In those older Alternate Blacks, the Marlins had a 13-15 record with a -24 run differential in 2023. The new Alternate Blacks will be primarily worn for Friday night home games, as well as selected Friday, Saturday, and other road games.

Finally, introducing the NEW Alternate Blue uniform, a fresh addition to the Marlins’ wardrobe. These blue tops showcase “Marlins” scripted in black, trimmed with white and red across the chest. They also incorporate the tri-color black, blue, and red trims and are paired with white pants that share the same trim. The Alternate Blue uniforms are slated for Sundays and other day games at home. This new blue option replaces the Teal Throwback jerseys, which were worn on Flashback Fridays last season. The Teal Throwbacks saw the Marlins to a 6-7 record with a -20 run differential in 2023.

With these five distinct and updated uniform combinations, Miami Marlins fans have plenty to look forward to in the 2024 MLB season. Each uniform set brings its own style and potential good luck as the team takes the field. Keep an eye out for these fresh looks as you cheer on the Marlins!
