(AFNS) – The United States Space Force has officially rolled out its first service-specific Physical Training Uniform (PTU), marking a significant step in establishing its unique identity. On March 8, the uniform was presented to the newest Guardians in Basic Military Training, signifying the start of a service-wide implementation.
“This PT uniform is more than just clothing; it’s the first distinct uniform designed specifically for Guardians, and they can wear it with immense pride,” stated Maj. Gen. Steven Whitney, Director of Staff for the Space Force. This rollout underscores the Space Force’s commitment to providing its personnel with gear tailored to their needs.
The newly designed PT uniform prioritizes performance and comfort, incorporating advanced features to support the rigorous physical demands of military training and daily duties. Key improvements include breathable, moisture-wicking shorts, specifically engineered for running and high-intensity workouts.
