US 4-Button Sack Coat: For everyday fatigue duty, Union soldiers were issued the “blouse,” more commonly known as the Sack Coat. This Union Army sack coat is accurately reproduced in 15 oz. navy blue wool. It features a practical roll (fold-over) collar, a comfortable muslin lining, a convenient inside pocket, and a four-button front closure with medium 3/4 inch Federal Eagle buttons. A staple Union uniform coat for any Civil War reenactor.
US Shell Jacket: The Union Shell Jacket is another authentic coat option, also lined with durable muslin and constructed from 15 oz. navy blue wool. It features a seven-button front with US Eagle, medium-sized buttons and a distinguished standing collar. The sleeves are straight with non-functional cuffs, maintaining historical accuracy. Choose between the untrimmed version or options with artillery red trim or cavalry yellow trim to represent different Union army branches. This Union uniform jacket provides a smart and historically correct look.

Sizing Advice: These Civil War era trousers are designed to be worn higher on the waist than contemporary jeans. Given that modern sizing and fit preferences differ, we advise ordering ONE size larger than your normal jean size. If you prefer a particularly loose fit, consider ordering TWO sizes larger than your typical jean size for your Union uniform.
Inseam length is intentionally left unfinished, as the trousers are unhemmed to accommodate individual needs. They can be easily rolled up, cut to length, or hemmed by the customer for a personalized fit.
