Duke Unveils Special “Brotherhood” Uniforms

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University’s men’s basketball team is set to sport a brand new look, adding to their already impressive lineup of Nike uniforms this season. Fans have already seen updated versions of the classic white, royal, and black jerseys, but tonight’s home game against Wake Forest will mark the debut of a particularly meaningful design: the “Brotherhood” jersey.

This special edition Duke Uniforms are predominantly navy blue with crisp white trim. The word “DUKE” boldly graces the front in a gothic font, a clear nod to the university’s rich history and long-standing traditions. Adding to the symbolic design, the shorts feature “Brotherhood” branding, emphasizing the deep-rooted culture within the Blue Devils basketball program, cultivated over an incredible four decades under head coach Mike Krzyzewski.

Coach Krzyzewski himself highlighted the significance of these duke uniforms. “Nike has been incredibly creative, working with our staff to develop a range of uniforms that carry real meaning,” he explained. “It’s not just about representing Duke or looking good; it’s about deeper significance. This uniform, representing the Brotherhood, holds immense meaning, especially for the players from the ’80s and ’90s who forged such strong bonds. It’s about honoring them and the legacy they built. We strive to nurture that bond, and showcasing this uniform is one way to celebrate it.”

The team received their first look at the Brotherhood jersey on Friday evening, with the reveal going public on the Blue Devils’ social media channels (@DukeMBB) on Saturday afternoon. They will proudly wear these duke uniforms for tonight’s game against Wake Forest and in select games moving forward.

The Brotherhood jersey joins Duke’s expanding Nike uniform collection, which includes the traditional white, royal, and black options, as well as a special gray jersey inspired by Coach K. The gray uniform, trimmed in gold, serves as a tribute to Coach K’s remarkable success as the U.S. National Team coach, further demonstrating the depth and thoughtfulness behind Duke’s jersey designs.
